Our members share knowledge, experiences, and a love of gardening while fostering friendships locally and through affiliations across the state and nation.
Our club promotes conservation and the protection of the environment as well as plants and maintains community gardens to “Keep Gaylord Beautiful”.

Have you driven downtown Gaylord in the summertime? Did you notice the beautiful gardens that decorate the courthouse lawn? The Edelweiss Garden Club has been proudly maintaining these gardens since Clifford was a small dog.

The Energy Outlet at the Otsego County Sportsplex is a 1/4 mile track that is surrounded by gardens planted and maintained by the Edelweiss Garden Club. If you would like to volunteer we would love to have you join our club.

In the fall of 2022, the Edelweiss Garden Club planted 4600 daffodils at the Otsego County Sportsplex’s Energy Outlet. In the spring of 2023 we got to enjoy the most beautiful blooms. We invite everyone to come out in the spring to see how the daffodil project grows each year.
Meetings happen monthly either at the Gaylord branch of the Otsego County Library or off site at a 'field trip'! Engaging presentations, workshops, and tours are offered by committed members covering a wide range of topics such as ponds, bees, yoga, floral crowns, natural basket weaving, homesteading, lavender, seed saving, and more! Activities cater to all age groups, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing within the Club and the public while developing friendships.
Feel like keeping the fun going? After our meetings and field trips, you're welcome to join us for dinner! This is a laidback and casual affair where you can meet more people, connect with friends, and chat over some tasty food at a local restaurant! Locations change monthly, so keep your eyes peeled to our Calendar of Events or Facebook page to see where dinner will be and to RSVP. Dinner is 'Dutch Treat' - We’ll provide the garden talk you cover your meal.
